The tour starts with the visitation of the Cementerio de Trenes (train cemetery), on which there are the rests of trains which are originated from the end of the 19th century. Afterwards, 30 minutes later, you are going to explore Colchani. Colchani is a small community, where you can observe the salt extraction. There you are also able to buy regional handmade artwork of salt or textiles of llama or alpaca wool. After that you are going to prepare yourself for the fascinating Salar de Uyuni (salt desert), which is extended in the field of more than 10.000 km². Inside the salt desert you can watch the Montones de Sal (small salt pyramids, which are builded by the inhabitants of the village in order to dry and extract the salt. Then you are going to visit the Ojos del Salar (natural salt water pipelines). Subsequently you got to know the first and unique Hotel del Sal (museum) and you are continuing the route to the Isla Incawasi (island Incawasi). After arriving there you can admire the huge cacti and the rock formations of coral stone and you are able to enjoy a spectacular panorama view over the salt desert. In that place you will also have your lunch. While returning back to Uyuni there is again the possibility to appreciate the beautiful landscape in the middle of the salt desert and take some nice photos from different angles. If all group participants agree, you can also watch the sunset in the salt desert.
In January, February and March you are also able to live the sensation of feeling to be like in heaven.
