3 Days tour

Day 1: Uyuni – Cementerio de Trenes (train cemetery) – refinery – Isla de Incahuasi (Island Incahuasi) – Hotel de Sal (salt hotel)

Stations: Salar de Uyuni (salt desert Uyuni), Uyuni, Department Potosí

Excursion to the train cemetery; Travel to Colchani, the entrance of the salt desert Uyuni;  visitation of the salt refinery, which produces salt for the consumption; After that you are going to advance further to many salt mountains and observe the salt extraction; You are continuing the tour to the salt hotel, where you are going to have lunch; The night you are going to spend in the salt hotel in the community of Alota.

Day 2: Lagunas altiplánicas (altiplanic lagoons) – Eduardo Avaroa national park – Siloli desert – Laguna Colorada (red lagoon)

Stations: Laguna Hedionda (Hedionda lagoon), Uyuni, Department Potosí

You start the day with a breakfast in the salt hotel; The tour leads you to a viewpoint from where you can see a volcano; Following you are going to Ollague, there you visit the Cañapa lagoon and will have lunch; After that you drive through Hedionda and Onda and see the Siloli desert, the Árbol de Piedra (a rock with the form of a tree) and you reach the Lago Rojo (red lake); The night you are going to spend in the lodge Huayllajra.

Day 3: Aguas Termales (thermal waters) – Desierto Salvador Dalí (Salvador Dalí desert) – Laguna Verde (green lagoon) – Laguna Blanca (white lagoon) – Volcan Licancabur (volcano Licancabur) – Uyuni

Stations: Aguas Termales de Polques (thermal waters Polques), Lagunas (lagoons), Uyuni, Department Potosí

The third day you are going to pass the Sol de la Mañana (geothermal area), which is located in the south of the Laguna Colorada (red lagoon) at an altitude of 5000 meters above sea level; When you arrive the Aguas Termales (thermal waters), you can take a warm bath (28 – 30 °C), which also has a healing effect; Then you are going to the  Desierto Salvador Dalí (Salvador Dalí desert), where you can find huge rock formations; After that the tour leads you through the Reserva Nacional de Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa (national park) and you are able to visit the fascinating Laguna Verde (green lagoon), Laguna Blanca (white lagoon) and the active volcano Licancabur, which is ubicated in the north of Chile – 40 kilometers away from San Pedro de Atacama -; Afterwards you are going to return to Uyuni and you got to know Villamar, which is a colonial village, and the Valle de Rocas (rock formations), which structure consists of huge rock formations from volcanic rock; Before you arrived in Uyunui you are visiting the Cañon de Anaconda (anaconda canyon) and the Iglesia San Cristobal (San Cristobal church), which – due to the advanced mining operations – has been relocated completely to the new place where it is right now. The tour ends at around 5 pm in Uyuni.

End: 5 pm
